I. Formulation Science Manager

Egalet Danmark is looking for a scientist for a challenging position heading a small group in the Department of Formulation Development. Egalet develops new and innovative products for pain management, having a pipeline of products ranging from preclinical stage to phase II. A key product line is oral solid dosage forms with unique controlled release properties. The products are developed in close collaboration between departments of analytical, manufacturing and clinical development. The group consists of cross-disciplinary specialists that develop new and innovative drug products. As we are a small company, all roles are broad and the organization flat with a great deal of “self-management”.

The position holds key and broad responsibilities within designing, planning and executing experimental work in both laboratory and full manufacturing scale. Systematic documentation of the work is a key part of the function as support of patent and regulatory development is integrated in the position as well as providing the formulation development expertise at FDA meetings.

Our preferred candidate holds a Master of Science degree preferably with a PhD within Pharmacy, Engineering or Polymeric sciences. At least 5 years of experience from the pharmaceutical industry and drug product development is a plus as well as a solid knowledge of physical state characterization methods would be an advantage. Additionally, experience in interaction with regulatory authorities would be preferred.
