Burst release system - 3K

3K Egalet^® is a 3-component production model consisting of coat, a release matrix intermediately between a delay matrix and a lag built into the matrix resulting in release of the drug with a predetermined burst. The drug is contained in the inner (middle) layer of the matrix. The outer layers provide the predetermined delay in the drug release.
