Our focus is on development of enhanced controlled release products for use in areas of chronic therapeutic concern such as cardiovascular disorders, pain management, orphan diseases, as well as oral delivery of peptides. At present, two constant release products (2K) developed by Egalet a/s are entering Phase III (one for hypertension and one for chronic pain). Two time released products (3K) are also under development. In addition, projects in other areas with non-disclosed partners are in progress and scheduled for entering the market in the near future. The Future Egalet® products have already been successfully tested in vitro and in vivo with a variety of active ingredients including peptides and unstable molecules. Clearly, the technology offers new possibilities in controlled release drug delivery for both well-known and new chemical entities. Accordingly, Egalet a/s continuously seeks new licensing partners that will enable us to further explore the growing market further for enhanced pharmaceutical formulations.
